great IBM mainframe Cobol and CICS
experience to join our technical
team in developing new products and/or
modifications to our existing software
products. This person will work with our
internal Business Analysts, technicians
and our Clients to understand the
business needs, then turn those business
needs into functionality within our
industry leading Xycor Systems. The
ideal candidate will be a hard worker
with solid experience who is a quick
learner and has the ability to get along
with others. The requirements of the job
include:

A
minimum of five years experience in
IBM mainframe Cobol and CICS
programming and debugging;

Great
understanding of VSAM files;
-
Ability to get along with a diverse
community of business clients at
various levels:
-
Great
communication skills, both written
and oral;
-
Attention to detail;
-
Experience writing technical
designs;
-
Good
knowledge of Microsoft Outlook,
Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
-
Ability to absorb and understand new
computer systems and different
environments, and the business
requirements that go along with
using a system;
-
Ability to multi task.
A minimum
of five years actual IBM mainframe Cobol
and CICS experience is a must. Prior
practical experience in the insurance or
software vendor industries is a plus,
specifically property or credit
insurance. Knowledge of IBM mainframe,
relational database and web based
systems is a plus.
Some
travel may be required.
Salary will be commensurate with
experience.
